The currency was printed in 1942 by the Central Bank of Ukraine (Tsentralny Emisijnyj Bank Ukrainy) in Rivne. The pictures were with typical "volkisch" theme showing peasants and workers: 5 Karbovantsi - Girl, 10 Karbovantsi - Young female peasant, 50 Karbovantsi - Miner, 100 Karbovantsi - Skipper, 200 Karbovantsi - Woman, 500 Karbovantsi - Chemist.
