10th SS PANZER DIVISION "FRUNDSBERG"

The divison was raised in early 1943, from 18-year old German conscripts ans was originally named "Karl der Grosse". Fought in France, latter on transferred to the Eastern front. Fought in Ukriane, defended the city of Ternopil. During its stay in Ukraine, the division's ranks were filled up with Ukrainian conscripts from Galicia. In tottal around few hundred Ukrainians served in Frundsberg division. From the casulty list, we get such names as: V. Dziajlo, B. Kilewsky, A. Jakymiw, M. Kohut, I. Lyhman, M. Koropetsky, F. Tyrylo - all of them died in combat around Paris, Essen and la Lub.
